Positions and Duties

Below is a list of the primary volunteer positions for the West Coast Autism Conference 2016. Additional positions and duties may develop as needed.

Volunteers agree to work one full day of the conference (approximately 6:30 am - 4:30 pm) and in return receive complimentary registration for the other day of the conference.

Greeter/Navigator 

  • Greet and welcome conference attendees
  • Assist attendees with finding conference materials
  • Provide general conference information to conference attendees
  • Seek out PEAK staff when appropriate
  • Assist with lunch as needed

CEU Table

  • Provide attendees with available CEU credit information
  • Maintain CEU sign-in/sign-out sheets
  • Answer questions about specific CEU requirements 
  • Distribute and collect organization-specific CEU forms 

Exhibit Hall

  • Greet attendees and monitor exhibit hall entrance to provide direction and answer questions
  • Assist exhibit hall coordinator with meeting exhibitor needs
  • Provide general hospitality services to exhibitors
  • Monitor beverage levels and contact the PEAK staff to replenish as necessary

Room Monitor

  • Provide general conference information to conference attendees
  • Monitor speaker's presentation and quickly respond to any speaker needs during the presentation
  • During break time, assist speaker if he wishes to leave main room to a private break room
  • If the speaker wishes to stay during break time, contact the speaker to see if they need a beverage, etc.
  • Let PEAK staff know immediately if there is any problem with the AV, sound, picture quality or any conference attendee.
